MFA: Here I come!

It's official; I'll be starting my MFA in Creative Writing this summer. Excitement is too small a word; let's go with fulfillment. There's immense joy in knowing I will be taking an important step toward realizing my life's purpose--to write and to teach others how to write--in just three months (and four days).
My program begins with a one-week residency at a fancy resort in the mountains. I can't wait to share my journey with you, but for now, I'm going to leave you with my elation. Stay tuned over the next two years or so!
My goal in the next couple of weeks is to keep researching, and to chip away at the stack of library books I took out so I can return them in a timely fashion. Then I can start developing my characters and goal is to have all of that background work done before my program starts in June.
