#AtoZChallenge: A is for Animal

Today begins the annual A to Z Blogging Challenge. If you've been hanging out with me on Facebook, you might have seen my theme reveal. If not, don't worry--the theme for this month is Writing Prompts.
I have several reasons for choosing this theme:
  1. I have a rather busy April with gearing up for my MFA and I didn't want to fall behind on the challenge just because of that.
  2. Who doesn't need a writing prompt from time to time? I know I do.
  3. I'll be writing in response to the prompts too, and hope (sometime later this spring) to release a small collection of flash fiction containing the stories I will write this month.
I'll also try to share a tidbit of wisdom or some tip for writing, specifically geared toward flash fiction, if I can. At the minimum, you'll get a prompt every day this month (except Sundays).
Today I'm not sharing a tip because I'm trying to keep these posts short so that you can get onto the writing. So without further ado, here is your prompt for today:
"Mom said you have to let me come with you!"
"Mom said you have to let me come with you!"
